I completed my B.Sc. Biology with a major in microbiology at the University of Greifswald. My thesis work entailed investigating potential inhibitory interactions between myxobacteria and phytopathogenic fungi. Next to working as a scientific student assistant at HIOH, I am now completing my M.Sc. Infection Biology and Immunology in the eBIO project, a collaboration between HIOH and the University of Greifswald, by characterizing the soil microbiome and screening for soil-dwelling pathogens from samples collected along land-use gradients on the Ivory Coast.
