Michael Schwabe

About

Michael Schwabe works as a bioinformatician in the Department of 'Epidemiology and Ecology of Antimicrobial Resistance' in the Junior Research Group DISPATch_MRGN project. In addition to supervising PhD students, he is involved in the planning and implementation of the computational identification of novel targets in E. coli and K. pneumoniae, as well as the planning and evaluation of genomic and transcriptomic data for the functional studies. In addition, he is working on the establishment of standard workflows for data evaluation and independent bioinformatic analyses of previously published genomic data.

Michael Schwabe received his Master of Science in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology in 2017 and worked as a bioinformatician at IDT Biologika GmbH, the Fraunhofer Institute for Molecular Biology and Applied Ecology, and the Justus Liebig University Giessen before joining the University of Greifswald in 2021. In 2023 he will join the Helmholtz Institute for One Health.
